Build the prompt around the photograph
Start with framing: head and shoulders, waist-up or full length. Add one setting, an outfit, a gaze direction and a light source. Then describe the mood or color palette if it matters.
Avoid conflicting instructions such as a close-up and a full-length view, or harsh midday sun and soft indoor studio lighting. A short, concrete description often communicates a scene more clearly than a long string of flattering adjectives.
- Composition: what is visible and where the face sits.
- Setting: one background or location.
- Lighting: source, direction and softness.
- Details: clothing, pose and mood that work together.

Three starting prompts to adapt
These are starting formulations, not tested guarantees for every image model. Adapt them to the tool you choose and the photographs you provide.
Professional headshot
Head-and-shoulders portrait against a quiet gray background, plain dark jacket, looking at the camera, soft light from a large window to one side, natural skin texture, restrained color palette.
Minimal studio portrait
Waist-up portrait in a bright studio, simple white shirt, relaxed pose, soft diffused lighting, space around the head, neutral background without objects or lettering.
Evening city portrait
Chest-up portrait on an evening street, face clearly lit by a shop window, softly blurred city lights in the background, calm expression, dark coat, warm light and natural skin tones.

Improve one part at a time
If the background competes with the face, simplify the background. If likeness matters, reduce stylization and check your input photos. Change one part of the prompt at a time so you can see what affected the result.
Text alone does not guarantee likeness. Your photographs and the tool's method of representing a person matter too. In ReCrea, the personal AI profile and ready-made looks provide the foundation for photoshoots featuring you.
Questions, answered
Do prompts have to be in English?
Use a language supported by your chosen model and interface. A clear, consistent scene matters more than mechanically translating individual words.
Should I add 8K or masterpiece?
These words do not replace a specific description of composition and light, and they do not guarantee quality. Describe the photograph first and review the actual result.
Can I start without a prompt?
Yes. ReCrea offers ready-made catalog looks. Create a personal AI profile and choose a photoshoot by its visual example.
